Sanders Secure is a growing, independent fire and security company based in Plymouth. We specialise in delivering high-quality, standards-compliant fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access control solutions to domestic and commercial customers across the South West.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to bring on board an experienced Fire & Security Engineer, with a strong focus on fire alarm systems, but who is also comfortable working across multiple disciplines.
The Role
This role is ideal for a hands-on Fire & Security Engineer who is confident working on the tools but is also looking to develop their skill set and progress their career.
As Sanders Secure continues to grow, we are actively developing the fire alarm side of the business, and this position will play a key role in that journey. You will be involved not only in day-to-day fire alarm works, but also in helping us shape, improve and expand our fire offering over time.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Fault-finding and repairs across fire, intruder and access control systems
- Working on intruder alarm systems including wired and wireless platforms
- Access control installation and maintenance
- Completing clear, accurate job reports and documentation
- Liaising professionally with customers on site
- Ensuring all works are completed to relevant British Standards and company expectations
Systems & Manufacturers We Work With
Experience with some (not necessarily all) of the following is desirable:
Orisec, Texecom, Pyronix, Ajax, Dahua, Hikvision, Paxton, C-TEC and more
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer (essential)
- Opportunity to play a key role in developing and expanding the fire alarm side of the business, ideal for a hands-on engineer looking to grow beyond the tools

- Multi-discipline experience in intruder alarms and/or access control (preferred)
- Good understanding of UK fire and security standards
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Professional, customer-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
